WordPress + DokuWiki Auth Integration

I decided on creating a private wiki for some of my ideas/random stuff, so that i could have a private working area i can access from anywhere. I like DokuWiki, so I searched out an authentication plugin, so i could use my wordpress login with DokuWiki. The plugin did need a little bit of tweaking to work with WordPress 3.1 though.

If you comment out/remove:

require( ABSPATH . WPINC . ‘/classes.php’ );

As the file doesnt exist in WP3.1

Then add:

require( ABSPATH . WPINC . ‘/class-wp.php’ );
require( ABSPATH . WPINC . ‘/class-wp-error.php’ );

Tested with WordPress 3.1 and DokuWiki-2010-11-07a. Things appear to work with no issues.

Massive thanks to Collin Green, plugins like these are really useful, but it’s something I wouldn’t have bothered to write just for my site (although now I’ve used it, It might find its way into use with i3Portal when we get that going).

  1. Hi,

    It’s funny you said it works becuase I’ve tried every version released on WordPress 3.52with doku .

    First of Dokuwiki doesn’t have a ‘auth’ folder inside the ‘inc’ folder so when make all the charges it just says – ‘you don’t have enought permission’.

    So I figures it must be a mistake so I replace the ‘auth.php’ code with the keenwa.php’ file code and forget it – to many missing files. like class.basic.php.

    So i would love to know – what I’m doing wrong. Thanks.

    1. Hi Craig,

      I haven’t tried it with the latest release of WordPress or DokuWiki, since my need for DokuWiki disappeared, although nothing in the changes I have made looks for an auth folder.

      I’ll have a quick look at it in the next couple of days and see if I can come up with a step by step guide that works with the current versions, but if you have a look at the comments on http://keeyai.com/projects-and-releases/dokuwiki-tools/dokuwiki-and-wordpress-3x-authentication-integration/, you might find a solution that works.
